Fight for Good Podcast: Episode 98. The Salvation Army & The Rose Parade

Kevin Larsson and William “Bill” Flinn explore the partnership between The Salvation Army and Rose Parade, this year's event, and more.

This week, the Fight for Good team is joined by Kevin Larsson and William “Bill” Flinn! Kevin is the Divisional Music Director of The Salvation Army California South Division, and Bill is a Salvationist and former Tournament of Roses Executive Director.

The Tournament of Roses has a history reaching back to the end of the 19th century, as well as a collaborative relationship with The Salvation Army that extends through most of the parade’s lifespan. The parade typically brings 6,000 to 7,000 participants among the 118 groups, with 15,000 volunteers behind the scenes. Of the 118 groups, The Salvation Army was the only religious group represented with a marching band.

In their discussion, Kevin and Bill explore the partnership between The Salvation Army and Rose Parade, this year’s event, and more.
