“She Leads America” is a faith-based organization dedicated to empowering women across the U.S. to leverage their voices in their communities. It fosters a supportive network that provides encouragement, collaboration opportunities, and deep relationships built on Christ. She Leads America values independent thinking, trust, and mutual respect among its members. 

In 2021, Commissioner Jolene Hodder received congressional recognition for her leadership and was honored as one of the first ten “Women of Distinction” at the inaugural She Leads America event held at the Museum of the Bible. This recognition led to her participation in a retreat for honorees and ongoing involvement with the organization. 

The Salvation Army sponsored the 2023 honorees, including Joni Eareckson Tada, CEO of Joni and Friends. She Leads America has a good relationship with The Salvation Army, having previously held a meeting at National Headquarters, being highlighted in The War Cry, and collaborating with NHQ’s media team on several occasions. 

A consultation for members of She Leads America in the U.S. and the UK was held in England at the beginning of the summer. Commissioner Hodder said that God chose the women who would attend the event, which she greatly enjoyed. 

“We never thought such women of influence would take time out of their busy schedules and invest personally to attend,” said Commissioner Hodder. “We never imagined that Windsor Castle would graciously host us. We are still in amazement over the many miracles that took place as we talked and prayed together. God even orchestrated divine appointments with people on the streets and in the shops who had been prepared to hear the gospel. While we will never know the full impact of this summit, I know that I have forever been changed.”

She Leads America brings together hundreds of accomplished women leaders representing a wide range of backgrounds and influence. This diversity fosters a unique perspective that fuels creative solutions and faith-based responses to contemporary challenges. The organization utilizes a framework that connects these interdisciplinary perspectives, all grounded in biblical principles.

She Leads America annually recognizes outstanding women through a peer-nominated selection process. These nominees are acknowledged by state and national legislators for their impactful contributions  and accomplishments in their respective states.

“She Leads America stands out as a dynamic and diverse organization of accomplished Christian women from across the nation,” said Commissioner Hodder. “What sets it apart is its unique approach and purpose.”
